What's the difference between TCF, TCF ANF, TCF DAP, and TCF IRN?
TCF Tout Public is the general version. TCF ANF is specifically for French citizenship. TCF DAP is for university admission. TCF IRN is for residency and immigration. The test format is similar but each has a specific administrative purpose.
Is TCF or DELF better for French citizenship?
Both are accepted. DELF B1 gives you a lifetime certificate. TCF ANF results expire in 2 years but the test is shorter and offered more frequently. If you only need it for citizenship, TCF ANF is faster.
How long is the TCF valid?
TCF results are valid for 2 years from the test date. After that, you'd need to retake it if required for a new application.
