Why Take Celpe-Bras?

Brazilian University Admission

Celpe-Bras Intermediário or above is required for the PEC-G scholarship program and most Brazilian public universities.

Medical Registration

Foreign doctors must hold Celpe-Bras Intermediário Superior to qualify for the Revalida exam and practice medicine in Brazil.

How does Celpe-Bras scoring work?

There is a single exam for all candidates. Your performance determines your level: Intermediário, Intermediário Superior, Avançado, or Avançado Superior. Score below the minimum and no certificate is issued.

Is Celpe-Bras the same as CAPLE?

No. Celpe-Bras is the Brazilian government certificate (INEP). CAPLE is the Portuguese certificate (University of Lisbon). They are separate systems. Brazilian institutions require Celpe-Bras. Portuguese institutions use CAPLE.

How often is Celpe-Bras offered?
