1. Introduction

Welcome to LottaLingo, a Washington nonprofit corporation ("we," "our," or "us"). LottaLingo is a non-profit information platform that helps people research and plan a move abroad. By accessing or using our website and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

2. What LottaLingo Is

The Service is an information resource. It includes:

• Free resources: research and city-matching tools, move-abroad checklists, country and visa guides, language assessments, and a webinar and podcast library, available at no cost.
• Optional paid planning subscription: a subscription that unlocks a personalized action plan, gap analysis, a document vault, and application and timeline tracking for your own move.

We provide information and self-service tools only. We do not provide, sell, broker, arrange, or supervise visa, legal, immigration, financial, housing, coaching, medical, or mental-health services, and we do not arrange meetings, bookings, or consultations on your behalf.

3. Not Professional Advice

The information, tools, guides, and plans provided through the Service are general in nature and are for informational purposes only. They are not legal, immigration, financial, tax, medical, or mental-health advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified, licensed professional.

• Visa & immigration: immigration rules change frequently and vary by individual circumstance. Always confirm requirements with the relevant government authority or a licensed professional. We do not guarantee any immigration outcome.
• Financial & tax: cost estimates and financial information are illustrative only. Verify figures with a qualified adviser before relying on them.
• Wellbeing: our content is not medical or mental-health treatment. If you are experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services.

4. User Accounts

4.1. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
4.2. The Service is intended for users 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, you may not use the Service.
4.3. Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
4.4. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4.5. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the Service for its intended purpose of researching and planning a move abroad
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Not share your account credentials
• Not engage in harmful, abusive, or disruptive behavior
• Not attempt to access unauthorized areas of the Service
• Not use the Service to harass, bully, or discriminate against others
• Not upload or share unlawful or inappropriate content
• Not scrape, resell, or use the Service for a commercial purpose without our consent

6. Subscription and Billing

6.1. The free resources are available at no cost. The only payment we collect is for the optional paid planning subscription.
6.2. We use a third-party payment processor (Stripe) to process subscription payments. By subscribing you also agree to the processor's terms. We do not store your full card details.
6.3. The subscription price is shown before you subscribe and renews on the stated cycle until you cancel.
6.4. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals.
6.5. Cancelling stops future charges but does not automatically refund past ones. If you believe you were charged in error, or your circumstances warrant it, contact us at support@lottalingo.com and we will review refund requests individually.

7. Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data. By using the Service you consent to the practices described there.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. All content provided by LottaLingo, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or the property of our licensors.
8.2. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit permission.
8.3. You retain ownership of content you create or upload.
8.4. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and store it for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

9. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Service may link to external websites, tools, and resources that we do not own or control. We provide these links for convenience and information only. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for any third-party website, its content, or any product or service it offers. Any dealings you have with a third party are solely between you and that third party, and you should review their terms and verify any credentials or claims yourself.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind.
10.2. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10.3. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim.
10.4. We are not liable for decisions you make, or outcomes you experience, based on information or tools provided through the Service, including any immigration, financial, housing, or relocation decision.
10.5. International relocation involves inherent risks and uncertainties beyond our control.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LottaLingo and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

12.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
12.2. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12.3. If you reside in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection law grants you non-waivable rights or a different forum, those rights are not affected by this section.

13. Termination

13.1. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.
13.2. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.
13.3. On termination you lose access to your account and any paid features. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals.
13.4. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

14.1. We may modify these Terms by posting the revised version on our website.
14.2. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14.3. We will notify users of material changes by email or through the Service.

15. General

15.1. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
15.2. Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and LottaLingo regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
15.3. No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
15.4. Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization of the nonprofit.
