The report estimates that 42,000 Korean citizens left for other OECD countries in 2023, down 4% from the year before:

The US and Canada together account for nearly half of Korean emigration to OECD countries. Germany at #3 is less intuitive but Germany has become a significant draw for Korean professionals and students.

So if Koreans are headed to the US, Canada, and Germany, where are those countries sending their people?

Emigration of US citizens (to OECD countries) was 104,000 in 2023. ~13% went to Spain, 10% to the United Kingdom, and 10% to Canada.

Emigration of Canadian citizens (to OECD countries) was 39,000 in 2023. ~48% went to the United States, 8% to Mexico, and 7% to the United Kingdom.

Emigration of German citizens (to OECD countries) was 145,000 in 2023. ~18% went to Switzerland, 14% to Austria, and 13% to Poland.
