TOEFL Now Accepted for Canadian Permanent Residency Applications

A few weeks back Educational Testing Services (ETS) announced TOEFL Essentials would soon be accepted for purposes of Canadian Immigration. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) accepts as of this writing:

• CELPIP General
• IELTS General
• PTE Core

They will announce on their website when the new test is valid and accepted.

This is great news for those who are already familiar with the TOEFL format and have done well on it in the past. Note, TOEFL iBT scores are not transferable for Immigration.
