IELTS Band Descriptors

I've written about the DELF rubrics before from the France Education International -- the British Council is also refreshingly open and transparent about its grading criteria. You can find every band explained here, and a mapping against CEFR here.

I find it encouraging that minor errors are acceptable even at Band 9 for lexical resource and grammatical range & accuracy:

"Minor errors are extremely rare and have minimal impact on communication."
